We officially finished our Believe Campaign last Saturday evening, but God isn’t finished working! We are still receiving donations, and we have now surpassed another mile stone in our cash donations – $100,393.85! We are so thankful for the way God continues to bless and pour out through His people!

It’s fitting that we send this email as we’ve also really put our hands to the metal this week! We are building, and the cloud of dust that is infiltrating our warehouse at the moment from the work is a glorious sign of the exciting days ahead!

The Believe Story

A Message from our Director…

Do you recall moments when God taps you on the shoulder? Recently something screamed out at me from Matthew 9. Two blind men came to Jesus wanting healing and his question to them was piercing, “do you believe I am able to do this?” The phrase “do you believe” is often used in the process of salvation, but the reality is Jesus asks you and I this question over just about anything. For me, it was the reality check question over our enormous building project coming up in July.

About a month ago one of our staff was doing a second level training school in Perth and she was in a desperate situation. Her team had left on outreach to London and she had just a few days to raise about $5,000. During a conversation over the phone with her, I asked if she would contact 100 people to share her critical need. She ended up contacting over 200! I suggested she communicate as much as possible over those few days PLUS every time she got a breakthrough, and she did. She sought the Lord on this and it wasn’t long and she had received $2,000! At this point I knew she was going to see a miracle. The last two days were like watching an exciting movie! On the final crucial day she needed something like $1,000, an enormous figure the previous week, now a cinch! I was diving into my inbox every 30 minutes to check on the progress and the breakthroughs. It was crucial to me this girl saw a big win, she needed to know that God had not forgotten her. The truth is, she wasn’t going to make it alone, God didn’t want her to make it alone. She needed others to believe God with her. Sure enough God provided all she needed! She’s right now in London seeing God move powerfully in the run in to the Olympics.

On YWAM Newcastle’s 20th anniversary year we invite you to be part of us like never before!

We are believing God for massive financial provision to see His vision for YWAM Newcastle and the city of Newcastle come to fruition. Believe will consist of a 6 week campaign starting May 22 through June 30, reaching over 5,000 people worldwide. It will also include a banquet fundraiser and finish with a massive build of our property. Shortly after the campaign ends we have a building team arriving to help us build ceilings, classrooms, our mezzanine floor and staircase and the front entrance to our warehouse. God has allowed much to be done in the past to bring us to where we are today, but the work ahead is the biggest build to date. The result will be thousands more trained over the years with classrooms and youth all across the city given a place to call home, all with the end result of YWAM’s vision “To Know God and Make God known.

We need you! Journey with us through these coming weeks and stay informed on the exciting, miraculous, breakthroughs as we believe God for massive provision.

The Believe BUILD

The Believe Build has begun! We have had the privilege of many local builders, as well as a team from Melbourne, the USA and some builder friends from New Zealand, join us to see the warehouse get built! It’s been such a privilege to work with all of them!
