Knowing GOD & Making Him Known.

Are you hungry for real, gritty, noticeable change? Do you desire to know what God has for your future? Then the Discipleship Training School (DTS) is for you.

DTS is a 6-month journey, a unique live/learn community experience. There will be endless opportunities for you to know God on a deeper level. It will be a platform for you to make God known in mind-blowing ways.

About

Are you someone who feels a lot for this world, but isn’t sure how to formulate a response? Do you watch the news, watch people in the grocery story, observe your family and wonder: God, how do you want to change this? How do I make any difference in this? Have you ever felt for a nation?

Mercy's goal is to ease suffering and provide hope for those affected by poverty, disease or injustice. We do justice when we give all human beings their due as creations of God. Doing justice includes not only the righting of wrongs but generosity and social concern, especially toward the poor and vulnerable.

God feels so much for what we go through and He is really moved to change it. He wants us to be part of the change because he knows it will make us come alive. But God wants to start with your heart first. We want to lead people where God has led us. One of our leaders says, ‘The battle is won and lost in the heart’ and God wants your heart fully and completely because He loves you. We want to encounter God in greater ways so we ourselves can be an encounter with God for other people.

Get hands-on experience in the thriving ministry of Youth Street. Develop your skills in reaching Australian young people, mentor Christians from various walks and be amazed at how deeply you can connect with young locals in just 12 weeks.

Each DTS is an all-inclusive dynamic Christian training experience! Make deep friendships as you walk alongside people from around the world. Experience God, life & learning together!

Example core curriculum topics include:

• God's Nature and Character
• Building and Maintaining Godly Relationships
• God's Intentions for Individuals, Peoples, and Nations

Example 'justice & mercy' sessions include:

• HIV/Aids
• Drug Abuse/Addiction
• Addressing issues of poverty and injustice

Outreach

Compassion and authority will fill every step as you participate in an adventure into mercy focused evangelistic missions. Opportunities could include working with children at risk in Asia, evangelizing to brothel owners in Eastern Europe, or ministering to the homeless in the West. There are endless opportunities to respond and share God’s heart to people in every corner of the globe.

We will send you on an outreach that will expose you to some hands on ministry that tackles the physical of some of the injustices of the world and we will equip you to bring the only real answer: the hope of Jesus Christ. Whether you are called to long-term or short-term missions, the benefit of going to a cross-cultural location and seeing the needs of that location and then being part of the solution is life changing!
