Surf & Skate DTS

Knowing GOD & Making Him Known.

Are you hungry for real, gritty, noticeable change? Do you desire to know what God has for your future? Then the Discipleship Training School (DTS) is for you.

DTS is a 6-month journey, a unique live/learn community experience. There will be endless opportunities for you to know God on a deeper level. It will be a platform for you to make God known in mind-blowing ways.

Do you surf or skate? Or maybe you simply have a heart to impact those sub-cultures? Come join us as we pursue making God known to the nations through the use of surfing & skating!

Surfing was originally birthed out of the skate scene and they have been connected ever since. Surfers and skaters are known for being adventurous and fearless. This is just the type of people God is wanting to use to see His great commission fulfilled! Nearly half of the world's population lives within 200 kilometers of a coastline and here in Australia over 1 in 10 people surf. The Surf & Skate DTS will focus on reaching out to these sub cultures during both lecture and outreach phases. The lecture phase will challenge your thinking and let God teach you more about His character and Kingdom. The Surf & Skate DTS will help make your faith a reality!

You will also get hands-on experience in our thriving youth ministry called Youth Street. Develop your skills in reaching Australian young people, mentor Christians from various walks and be amazed at how deeply you can connect with young locals through the use of your boards during your lecture phase.

Each DTS is an all-inclusive dynamic Christian training experience! Make deep friendships as you walk alongside people from around the world. Experience God, life & learning together!

Example core curriculum topics include:

• God's Nature and Character
• Hearing God's Voice
• God's Intentions for Individuals, Peoples, and Nations

Surf & skate features:

• 10 minutes from world class surfable beaches.
• Skating distance to multiple parks.
• Week long Surfest event featuring Burton Toyota Pro (Men’s ASP 6-Star)

Outreach

The outreach phase is your opportunity to travel to a foreign culture, BRINGING THE HOPE OF CHRIST TO THE NATIONS. The Great Commission to “go into all the world & make disciples” will be pumping through your veins as you jump into this cross cultural journey to make God known.

Outreach will take you to the places you have only ever dreamed about! Grow in confidence as you share your testimony to large audiences. Whether you are called to long-term or short-term missions, the benefit of going to a cross-cultural location and seeing the needs of that location and then being part of the solution is life changing!

Each DTS sends teams to unique locations. Here are a few places we have gone: Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa, New Zealand & around Australia.

Lecture Phase   $3,950 AUD

Outreach Phase         approximately $2,500 – $5,000 AUD
