What is God’s purpose for the world?

“Perspectives on the World Christian Movement” is a course about God – what He has done, what He is doing, and what still remains to be done. The purpose of the course is not to transform each participant into a missionary, but to challenge every Christian to become strategic as well as obedient in participating with the Living God in His mission.

Whether you are already or have been involved in YWAM, or this is your first time hearing about our courses, you can join in Perspectives as we partner with Mission Perspectives Newcastle, to go in-depth into God’s heart for missions. Be equipped with biblical and historical knowledge of the missions movement, learn skills to enrich your ministry and discover how you can contribute to world missions.

What Will I Learn?

Perspectives surveys the World Christian Movement from four points of view:

Biblically: God’s unchanging purposes for the nations
Historically: The expansion of the Christian movement
Culturally: Communicating the gospel cross-culturally
Strategic: Means for completing the Great Commission

The course is taught in weekly class sessions lasting two and a half hours each. In addition to this, students will set aside approximately 3 to 4 hours per lesson for independent study, working through the course materials.

“There is no volume that I know which will inform, inspire and motivate Christians for world evangelism like the Perspectives course…it will stretch your mind, warm your heart and stir your will.” – Dr Billy Graham
